Where Have I Been?

I have been absent for about a month now - and I want to try to get back into the swing of things. First of all I should probably explain where I have been this past month and why have I abandoned post. Now this is not a post where I will be quitting or explaining how it's been fun and how I've moved on. This is a post about how life sometimes just get's in the way.

The last post I did was for Mother's Day - if that gives you any perspective to how long ago that was. In mid-May I went on two week long trips for work. The first one was just outside of Charleston, SC and in beautiful Savannah, GA. I didn't get much time to site see but I did have one evening spent along the water in Savannah watching Dolphins swim and dive while eating some delicious Fish & Chips. The following week I went to just outside of Detroit, not nearly as beautiful but a lot busier work wise. By the time I got home I was exhausted, and just didn't have time to start making a DIY project (I know what you're thinking... excuses, excuses).

The last week of May was spent playing catch-up until the Friday which was my 24th birthday, where I relaxed and had a few drinks with friends. The following day I decided to participate in a 5K obstacle course race, something I have wanted to do for years. And as you can see by my lovely ribbon I did it - I had mud in places I couldn't even fathom how it got there but it was amazing, and it also got me to want to compete in more courses and more races. So I began a couch to 5K program to get my endurance up.

Now comes June - where two weekends have gone by and no DIY's in site. I have possibly the most exciting announcements for this! I have decided to embark on my own business. I want to be a custom brand consultant. This means making complete brandings for small businesses (i.e logos, social media pages, websites, blogs, etc.). I am currently working with a few amazing clients and I am working on building up my business the right way.

What does the future hold? - I plan on doing some DIY's within the next little bit. Some before I leave for San Diego for Comic Con (I cannot express the excitement, and get ready for some videos and blog posts about that).

I want to make my 24th year amazing - do things I have always wanted and truly just live for the moment. Thank you all for your love and support and I will see you soon!
